Riding For The Disabled Association Dubai
Riding For The Disabled Association Dubai (RDAD) was founded in 1998 by HH Sheikha Hassa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum with the contribution of three horses for therapeutic riding.
RDAD is a non-profit organisation and, with the exception of a nominal annual registration fee, is free of charge, ensuring that special needs children have access to the programme.
What Can I Expect?
We have approximately 70 children currently enrolled in the riding programme. Examples of riders’ disabilities include autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida, mental retardation, and various learning disabilities.
RDAD’s programme allows students to develop their physical, cognitive and emotional abilities. This means we can encourage our riders to achieve more than they ever thought possible, allowing us to focus on ability and not disability.
